Intructional Writing- How to have a fun holiday

Requirments:
1. Family
2. Car
3.Money
4.Cellphone

1. Wake up, wash yourself, get dressed and have breakfast 2, wake up the family. Get everything ready and pack some refeshments for your fun holiday.

2. Put your stuff in the van then get in the van with your family, and go to Waiwera hot pools.

3. On your way to the pools buy some extra stuff e.g food, drink etc.

4. When you arrive at the pools go for a swim and play family games in the pools e.g volleyball and waterpolo etc.

5. After the pools go home wash yourself take a rest and play games on your phone.

Term 3 reflection

What did I find hard?
What I found hard this term is getting to know how to use a compass and how to measure a angle. I also found it hard to write a poem, because it usually takes alot of thinking.

What did i enjoy?
This term I enjoyed representing our school in rugby for 3 days. We came 3rd in rugby league, we came 1st in rugby union and we won at Eden park. I also enjoyed making myself a blog. Ha Ha. Yeah that's about it.

What I still need to improve on?
Maths= I need to LEARN how to measure angles.
P.E.= learning new skills.
Independence= To be INDEPENDENT!!!.

Learning goals

My goal for reading is to reach 16 years before I go to college. How? by reading at home, reading for enjoyment and reading in my spare time.

My goal for maths is to learn how to multiply 2 digit numbers. How? by practising during maths and at home.

My goal for Language is to practice my handwriting, How? By writing as often as I can to get better at it.

My goal for newsboard is to be more confident and to share my ideas. How? by taking more risks, and answering questions during newsboard time.

My goal for P.E is to listen during class leassons so I can learn new skills. How? by making sure I'm focused.

What are the three most important characteristics that i will need for next year in college?

This essay will tell you what the most important characteristics I will need for next year in college.
The three most important characteristics to me are: Persistence, Leadership and Attitude.

Persistence means to never give up and to try your best.
Next year in college, I will need my persistence skills so when i don't know how to do something I can take a risk and try my best.

Leadership is important to me because i need to set a good example for the younger students in school and in my community and to make good choices in what I do in and out of school time.

Attitude is also one of my most important characteristics, because i want to improve my attitude to learning so that I can be focused and get all my work done, to the best of my ability and in the time limits set at college.

I think these three characteristics will help me to succeed in college, by using these characteristics when necessary I will achieve greatly at college.

Aye my name is Folau Kalu i am 13 years of age. In my family i have a Mum, Dad, 2 Brothers and 2 Sisters. I have been blessed with beautiful beauty queens my Nieces and an army full of my handsome Nephews. I have a loving family that is always there when i need them and always support me thourgh everything. I'm a student at Viscount School, i've been a student at Viscount School for 8 years and i have learn't heaps at Viscount School. Term 3 was a great term beacause i learn't how to write eassys and write poems. At Viscount School my favourite subjects are: P.E and Reading. My weakness is Maths, and my strength is Sports. My favourite sports are: Netball, Rugby, Volley and Running i also enjoy doing long jump and high jump. My best friend at School is everyone in room 29. They rock.
